Hello

I honestly feel very privileged to be the head teacher of what can only be described as the best school in the world! I am extremely passionate about education and the importance of ensuring that every child can achieve their full potential regardless of background and can be motivated, encouraged and nurtured to be the very best versions of themselves. The children and families at Pinewood are at the heart of every decision I make and I will always strive to do my best by them and ensure that their learning is irresistible every day.

When not in school I enjoy spending time with my husband, my 2 teenage sons (when I can persuade them to leave their bedrooms), my family and my rescue dog Sylvie (a cheeky Lurcher). I am passionate about animal welfare and will always have rescue dogs in my life and spoil them rotten! I am lucky to have a great group of friends in Nottingham and in Wales where I grew up and I spend as much time with them as I can.  We always laugh until our tummies hurt! I love travelling too, both in the UK and abroad and enjoy the warm weather relaxing on a beach with a glass of something cold! Well who wouldn't?! I love life and would say I live it to the full! I feel very lucky to live in a lovely village and surround myself with wonderful people at work and at home and am very grateful for the job I do and the life I lead. 

Finally, I'm also famous for being the only person from Wales who can't sing. Just ask anyone who has had the pleasure of hearing me!
