  • Wellbeing Champions

Pupil mental health and wellbeing is really important to us at Pinewood, This year, we have a fabulous group of Wellbeing Champions. They were voted for by their class and chosen for their desire to help others. They really care about the school and the other children. Their role is to support their classes and teachers by sharing wellbeing ideas.

We will meet through the term to discuss wellbeing in school and to complete some special projects. Our champions will be doing great things in our school for Mental Health and Wellbeing.

    Mental Health & Wellbeing

During our first few weeks back at school, we have been voting for our 'Wellbeing Champions from each of our classes. We chose 2 children from each of our year groups in F2, Yr1 and Yr2.  We will be meeting in the following weeks to talk about wellbeing and our next steps as champions!!

On Friday 10th October, we marked World Mental Health Day…We joined in with thousands of people wearing yellow across the country to stand out and show up for young people’s mental health 😊     To help raise awareness of World Mental Health Day  our children and staff came dressed in something yellow and our wellbeing champions reminded everyone by putting up posters around school for all our community to see.  If you would like to know more, please follow the link to the Young Minds website.

One of our Yr2 pupils Albert decided to write his all his own thoughts on World Mental Health Day with some very special messages to share with our school. This was incredible awe are so proud of Albert for taking the time to write and share his ideas in his own time too!!
