Welcome to Leopards!
Welcome to the Leopards' class page. We are a year 1 class and our Teachers are Mrs Withnall (Monday) and Mrs Scott (Tuesday-Friday). Our teaching assistants are Sarah and Miss Ashmore.
If you want to see what we have been up to then keep checking this page.....
PE is on a Wednesday so please send children to school in their PE kit on that day.
Our next event is our Easter bonnet parade on Thursday 31st March.
Our topics so far this year:
Are wolves in stories always bad? (Autumn 1)
Thank you for all the wolf creations that were sent in, please look below to see our fantastic presentations in the wildlife stage area.
We have read lots of different stories about wolves and our favourite has been Mr Wolf's Pancakes.
What were your grandparents toys like? (Autumn 2)
Look at the pictures below of the different toys that Tom from the Partake theatre company brought in and let us play with and explore.
Where can a painting take us? (Spring 1)
Starting with a pyjama day and ending with an art exhibition, with a professional ballerina visiting us in between for a fantastic starry night dance workshop, this has been a gorgeous topic teaching the children so much about the arts. Please look below at our photos.
Would you like to live in the Antarctic? (Spring 2)
There is so much to learn about in this fantastic topic, from penguins to Captain Scott. We have learnt so much and particularly enjoyed our sponsored penguin waddle to raise money for WWF to help protect the penguins.
Please continue to read with your child at home, Mrs McCoulough is now on the reading track so make sure you stay ahead of her!
If you would like to work on any other areas at home with your child, here is the list of Year 1 spellings that they can practise. Just have a go at a few at a time.

Fruit kebabs November 2021
Today we made yummy fruit kebabs. First we washed our hands, then we chopped our fruit. Next we put our fruit pieces on our kebab sticks, finally we could eat them!
