Hi, I'm Hannah and I’m really pleased to be part of the Pinewood Governing Body. My son attends Pinewood and has been thriving, which has been both a relief and a real pleasure to see. Pinewood feels like a very special school and I look forward to supporting it to continue being such a positive and inclusive place for children.

I have been a qualified children’s social worker since 2016 and currently work as an Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO) for the local authority. In this role, I independently oversee care plans for children who are looked after by the local authority. I chair regular review meetings, monitor the local authority’s actions, visit children, and challenge where necessary if I have concerns.

Prior to becoming an IRO, I worked as a social worker for children with disabilities. This gave me a strong understanding of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and the importance of inclusive and accessible education. I am passionate about ensuring that all children have the support and opportunities they need to thrive.
