We are a small governing body comprising of individuals from many different walks of life, some with a long standing service to the governing body and others new and still learning about the role. We are a happy bunch of caring individuals who work well as a group to lead Pinewood, a happy nurturing and successful school in to the future. We are all very committed in our role as governors and play an active role in school life, holding the school to account ensuring the best possible education for our children. We have 2 full governing body meetings per term, one focussing on strategic and pupils and one focussing on finance and personnel.
The three main responsibilities of every governing board are:
Setting the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction;
Holding the head teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
Redacted copies of the Governor committee meetings can be made available on request free of charge.
