How do we keep in touch?
We communicate with our parents/carers in many different ways here at Pinewood. We use Email, phone and a text messaging service.
As well as all of the above we use Class Dojo. This is a secure online journal for your smart phone or tablet. It gives you, as parents/carers an immediate and personalised window into your child’s school day, and makes communication with teachers seamless.
We use Class Dojo from F1 to Year 2. In Foundation we use it to document and share what your child is learning in class. We upload photos, videos, voice recordings, reminders and letters to your child’s journal. Each child’s journal is private and only family members that have been given access to the journal are able to view, like and comment. All comments that are added to photographs are reviewed and monitored by staff and require approval before being published.
There is a class story and a school story and all communications will be posted on these.
There is an instant messages feature within Class Dojo that allows you to be able to send direct messages to your child’s class teacher.
