Ofsted and Performance Data

Although our latest Ofsted was conducted in 2009, it makes us extra vigilant with quality assurance programmes firmly embedded across school to ensure highest of educational standards, leading to best possible outcomes for all our children. Even though the inspection framework has changed considerably since 2009, school self-evaluation and monitoring provide evidence that we would still hope for an outstanding judgement.

 

Progress is excellent across school from children’s starting points. We do not have progress data for 2019-20 due to the Coronavirus pandemic but 2022 data outline can be seen below:  

 

Results at the end of KS1 2022 when the Year 2 children leave Pinewood:

Reading

We achieved above the National and LA average for those that achieved the expected standard in reading.

We achieved broadly in line with the National and LA average for those that achieved greater depth in reading (-0.7% against National; +0.1% against the Nottinghamshire LA average).

 

Writing

We achieved above the National average and LA average for those that achieved both the expected standard in writing and above the National and LA average for those that achieved greater depth.

 

Maths

We achieved above the National and LA average for those that achieved the expected standard in Maths and above the National and LA average for those that achieved greater depth.

 

Year 1 Phonics screening

Our Year 1 phonics screening results in 2022 were significantly above the National and LA average with all groups of children achieving extremely well.

 

Year 2 Phonics screening

Our Year 2 phonics screening results in 2022 were above the National and LA average with all groups of children achieving extremely well.
