PE at Pinewood
Pinewood recognises the vital contribution of physical education to children’s physical, cognitive, social and emotional development and their overall well-being. Physical education at Pinewood is about teaching the children fundamental movement skills, encompassing both gross and fine motor skills. Children are given opportunities to develop agility, control and manipulation of objects, balance and coordination. They are also taught the skills needed to work as a team. We employ a highly qualified sports coach who delivers excellent PE sessions and works alongside teaching staff to ensure children are achieving their highest possible outcomes. We also employ a qualified dance teacher to work with our children.
Please read the information below which gives details of our PE and Sport Premium Grant and how we allocate the funding.
